William Chin is currently on KOSMAS’ Advisory Board and is the Bertarelli Professor of Translational Medical Science and Professor of Medicine Emeritus at Harvard Medical School. He is also SVP, Clinical and Translational Science at Frequency Therapeutics and an advisor/board member for a number of startup biotech companies.

His past roles include EVP for Science and Regulatory Advocacy and CMO at PhRMA, where he led continuing efforts in science and regulatory advocacy in drug discovery and development; Executive Dean of Research at HMS; SVP of Discovery Research and Clinical Investigation at Eli Lilly and Company; Professor of Medicine at HMS and Chief, Division of Genetics at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital; and Investigator, Howard Hughes Medical Institute. 

As a pioneering molecular endocrinologist, Bill embraced the early use of emerging DNA technology to make important discoveries regarding the function and regulation of hormone genes. He has been honored with numerous awards for research, mentorship and leadership. 

Bill received his A.B. in Chemistry from Columbia University and his M.D. from Harvard Medical School.
